§ 3-43. Full-time Chief Financial Officer acting as Treasurer.

  • Duties. The full-time Chief Financial Officer shall have, possess and exercise all the functions, powers and duties of a Township Treasurer as prescribed by general law and the ordinances of this Township and, in addition, shall keep and maintain books and records of all financial transactions of the Township in accordance with the standards and requirements of the State Division of Local Government. The full-time Chief Financial Officer shall have custody of all public moneys of the Township and shall make monthly reports to the Manager of all receipts, expenditures, commitments and unencumbered appropriations. All moneys received from any source by or on behalf of the Township or any department, board, office or agency, except as are otherwise provided for by ordinance, shall be paid to the Chief Financial Officer, who shall, by the next ensuing bank day after receipt, deposit them to the credit of the Township in the authorized public depository for the Township to the credit of the proper account.
